Breakfast idea

Another idea for another day. Today spicy hummus. Hummus, next to sunflower paste is my favourite bread paste. Because I did not want to make another simple sandwiches or toasts I decided to cut bread in circles and make these delicious mini stacks. These are super easy to make. If you wonder what I did with leftover bread- I just made croutons.

Humus with cucumber and quinoa sprouts

If you don’t like spicy food, you can add ground paprika instead of chilli powder. And add 1/2 tsp of mustard. It also tastes amazing. Remember to pick good quality healthy mustard. Always read the ingredients list. Good quality mustard should contain: mustard seeds, vinegar, salt, water. Shorter ingredients list, better for your health.


Hummus recipe

  • Servings: 2-3
  • Difficulty: easy

  • 1/2 can of chickpeas
  • 1 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • sea salt and pepper to taste


  1. Blend all the ingredients until smooth and creamy.
  2. Serve with cucumber and quinoa sprouts.
